Our fall has started off as a busy one!
First, we have been enjoying the cooler weather. We just had to start sporting our cool hats that Auntie Man gave us ... thanks Auntie Man!
Of course we made our way to a local pumpkin patch. It was pretty cool that night, but we still managed to have a good time.
We also got to make a trip to dad's work! Abby and Brayden thought that was pretty cool, although they wanted to know where all the candy was! Brian is on the 13th floor - so you can see a lot of downtown Tulsa. Their favorite part is seeing the baseball park.
Fall just isn't complete without an indoor campout! This weekend they got to sleep in their tents for nap time and bed time, which was a huge hit! When I went to check on Abs I was cracking up - she had one arm propped outside the tent. Kinda reminds me when you kick one leg out from under the covers!
Only a couple of more days until Halloween ... whoo-hoo!

Scary, spooky!
We have had a few scary, spooky things happening around here.
First, last weekend it was a very scary thing that happened in Norman - OU simply destroyed KU at the football game. And the worse part, I was there with Brian to witness it first hand. Needless to say, Brian loved the game - me, not so much. What does a typical KU fan say - 'just wait till basketball'! Abby couldn't figure out who to root for, so she sported KU tights and a KU bow as well as an OU jersery and OU bow. Gotta love her!
Second, we had spooky times with our pumpkin carving! Brian, Abs and Brayden carved an awesome pumpkin. They love to light it at night - very spooky!
Lastly, the kids were 'Booed' this past week. They both got a Boo basket full of fun Halloweeen treats - candy, playdough, cup, glow stick and a frog pop. Now, off to Boo some of our neighbors!

OU Heisman Winners
Let's start with a little background. Brayden is OBSESSED with his football jerseys. EVERY day he tells me that he wants to wear football. I will tell him it isn't clean, but he will correct me and show me where it is hanging in his closet. On Sunday, we went through the same thing. I tried to get him to wear his Dallas Cowboys jersey since it was NFL football day, but he insisted on his OU jersey. So, I let him wear it - it is easier to give in than to listen to him cry.
We were doing out weekly shopping trip at Wal-Mart when we heard them announce over the intercom that there were OU Heisman winners at the front of the store signing autographs. I asked Brian who he thought it was and we didn't know.
After we checked out, we went to see them - Steve Owens, Billy Sims and Jason White. Brayden was in HEAVEN! He was definitely strutting his stuff - Abs didn't care for them. THANKFULLY Brayden had on his OU football jersey so we had all the winners sign it. At the end of the line he got his picture taken with them. Brayden couldn't figure out if he should hold up 1 or 2 fingers (ooops).
Brayden's jersey is now officially 'retired'. Don't worry - we will get him another one but the signed jersey will be getting framed. Some day he will get a kick out of the jersey and picture!
The pictures are with our phone, so they are not the best quality. Oh well, it was still a neat experience!

Party Time with Cousins!
This year we didn't do a 'party' for Abby (I know, I know - this takes me out of the running for the mother-of-the-year award). We had dinner at our house with family, she celebrated at school with her friends and then this past weekend she had ALL her cousins meet her at the hotel for swimming and a sleep-over.
What were we thinking - 7 kids, 4 adults, 2 hotel rooms! Actually, it all turned out great! All the kids played so good together. Brayden thought he was 'the bomb' since he had the older boys (Koby, Quincy and Brett) to follow around. Abby was super-excited to have Brailee and Alexis there, especially when it was make-up time!
I know I say this all the time, but it is just priceless to see the kids playing together and laughing. It is so hard being a parent, but seeing them all play together and having the time of their lives makes up for those rough times. A big reason for moving back to Oklahoma was for the kids to be closer to their cousins. Was it worth it - ABSOLUTELY!

p.s. It was hard to take pictures in the pool area because of the steam ... but trust me, they had a BLAST!

Girls Shopping Trip
We met up with Auntie Man, Brailee, Carrie and baby Daphne for a girls shopping trip. As you can see, the girls definitely held nothing back! I think every store breathed a sigh of relief when we left! And of course no shopping trip is complete without a trip to Chick-Fil-A to recharge!
