We were so excited to have our neighbors from Kansas come and stay the weekend with us. It was so much fun watching the kids play together. Of course, it was great having some time with the parents too! The Johnson’s are such a special family. We feel pretty lucky to have them as friends! Too bad they live so far away – we already miss them!
The weekend was packed full of activities! We put together the kiddos a welcome bag – matching jammies (a must in Abby’s book), pen & paper, nail polish, lip gloss, silly string and of course a few snacks. Don’t worry – Brayden got some boy jammies and cars instead of polish & lip gloss! Kailee and Kelsey brought the kiddos adorable carrots! (I will probably use this idea in the future!)
Friday night was full of dress-up, smores, nervous KU basketball game and lots of playing! Saturday could be called out power-craft day. The girls took a class at Michaels, had some yummy pizza for lunch, a quick power nap, made bunny donuts (thanks Karie!) and we wrapped up with some Jayhawk tshirts. Sunday was low-key since they had to leave (and I have to leave for Rhode Island). But, everybody got to put on their cool new KU shirts and tattoos!
Here are lots of pictures of our totally awesome weekend …
